American Aronia Accelerator Brings on Industry Veteran Doug Jones as Plant-Based Ingredient Demand Continues To Grow

Report

FARGO, ND (February 2026) — American Aronia Accelerator (A3) today announced it has strengthened its market leadership by bringing on Doug Jones, an industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods and dietary supplement sectors, as the category continues to experience strong growth alongside increased scrutiny around ingredient sourcing, transparency, and demand for credible, plant-based wellness solutions.

As supplement usage expands — with the global dietary supplements market valued at approximately $200 billion in 2024¹ — manufacturers and brands face heightened expectations to deliver natural ingredients supported by quality standards, scientific validation, and clear provenance. This shift has elevated the importance of education, documentation, and trusted ingredient partners across the category.

Doug brings more than three decades of senior leadership experience in marketing, sales, and communications, with work spanning North America, Europe, and Asia. His background includes leadership roles with brands such as BioCell Collagen, Nature Made Vitamins, and Minute Maid. Most recently, he served as Head of Global Sales and Marketing at BioCell Technology LLC, where he led worldwide sales, marketing, licensing, advertising, and trade-show strategy while building a global distributor network to support international growth.

“Growth in the supplement category is being driven not only by demand, but by the increasing need for transparency and education around ingredient quality,” said Doug Jones, Consultant, American Aronia Accelerator.

American Aronia Accelerator provides aronia berry ingredients in powder, juice, and extract formats, available in both organic and conventional options. All ingredients undergo rigorous batch-to-batch testing for organoleptic properties, microbiological controls, heavy metals, and polyphenol levels, with full data analysis available upon request. Aronia berries are recognized for their naturally high polyphenol and anthocyanin content, supporting their role in the expanding plant-based wellness market.

In his role with A3, Doug will support sales strategy, market education, and promotional initiatives to advance awareness and adoption of aronia berry ingredients as interest in natural, plant-based nutrition continues to grow.
