HEAVENSAKE Introduces PRESTIGE III

Report

An Assemblage Junmai Daiginjo Created by Régis Camus and Niizawa Sake Brewery, Presented in Porcelain by Arita Porcelain Lab

TOKYO, JAPAN, October 26, 2026 – Iris and lilac, ripe peach and apricot, a long finish with the feel of silk. HEAVENSAKE introduces PRESTIGE III (15%ABV, 720mL, $350 SRP), a new expression created in Japan with Nanami Watanabe, chief brewer at Niizawa Sake Brewery, and Champagne cellar master Régis Camus.

Presented in handcrafted Japanese porcelain, PRESTIGE III is a Junmai Daiginjo – a category of sake made from highly polished rice, without added distilled alcohol. Its character emerges through assemblage: the art of composing different sakes, adjusting their proportions to shape aroma, texture and finish.

At Niizawa in Miyagi Prefecture, Watanabe leads the team that brews the component sakes. Founded in 1873, the brewery approaches sake with the dining table in mind. That sensitivity is practiced as well as inherited: Its brewers train their palates through blind tastings and matching exercises, developing the ability to recognize small differences and assess them consistently.

Camus brings decades of experience in Champagne to the collaboration. Working with Niizawa’s sakes, he considers how their individual qualities interact – how fragrance carries through the palate, how texture supports the fruit, and how long the final impression remains. PRESTIGE III gives the brewery’s work another form of expression through this composition.

In the glass, delicate floral aromas open to plum, apricot and ripe peach, with touches of kiwi and pineapple. The palate is generous and fresh, with nuances of passion fruit and a lingering, silky finish. Camus recommends serving it at approximately 12°C / 54°F; a wine glass gives the aromas room to unfold.

The PRESTIGE III vessel brings another Japanese maker to the table. Arita Porcelain Lab, whose origins lie in the Yazaemon kiln established in 1804, crafts and finishes the porcelain bottle in Arita, Saga Prefecture. Its celadon-green color and smooth surface make the pleasure of PRESTIGE III begin with the object itself: its weight in the hand, its shape, the gesture of pouring. On the bottle, three horizontal strokes form 三, the Japanese character for three. HEAVENSAKE chose this familiar form for its directness and contemporary spirit.

A limited pink porcelain presentation marks HEAVENSAKE’s tenth anniversary. An additional sanding stage at Arita gives this edition its distinctive surface finish, while the unexpected color brings a different character to the vessel. A limited-edition pink porcelain bottle was created for Sushi Noz in New York, where PRESTIGE III made its debut with RZA as guest of honor. A close friend of HEAVENSAKE, the artist has spoken publicly of it as his favorite sake. The evening formed part of a broader partnership with RZA and the Wu-Tang Clan tour.

PRESTIGE III is made entirely in Japan and bottled at 15% ABV. The U.S. suggested retail price is $350 for the 720 mL (bottle both limited-edition pink and celadon-green), available at Wine Access and True Sake. The 720mL will be available at high-end restaurants, including New York’s Sushi Noz, Sushi By Scratch in Los Angeles, Mino Omakase in Boca Raton, FL, and The Setai in Miami (both 720mL and magnum).
