Buzzard's Roost Distillery Introduces New Four Grain Double Oak Bourbon

Report

Special Release Delivers Elevated Flavors from Four-Grain Blend and Buzzard's Roost's Exclusive Secondary Maturation Process

Louisville, KY – Feb. 3, 2026 – The award-winning distiller known for its innovative approach to whiskey Double Oak maturation announces the launch of their latest limited-edition release called Buzzard's Roost Four Grain Double Oak Bourbon. This new offering showcases the distillery's commitment to exploring complex flavor profiles through its proprietary double oak process, this time using bourbon distilled from four grains.

A Symphony of Grains and Oak

Buzzard's Roost Four Grain Double Oak Bourbon was sourced from a trusted distillery in Ohio. The mash bill features 73% corn, 16% wheat, 6% rye, and 5% malted barley. Buzzard's Roost leveraged its lightly charred, precision-toasted oak for secondary maturation, lending intriguing layers of flavor to the bourbon. The bourbon is 5 years old and was bottled at 100 proof.

"We've always been fascinated by how different grain combinations interact with new oak," said Judy Hollis Jones, Co-founder and CEO of Buzzard's Roost. "The Four Grain recipe offers a beautiful balance of sweetness and spice. Our double oak process enabled us to amplify the vanilla and baking spice notes, resulting in a bourbon that is both complex and incredibly smooth."

Tasting Notes

Buzzard's Roost Four Grain Double Oak Bourbon presents an inviting nose with aromas of baking multigrain bread with brown sugar and a hint of baking spices. The palate delivers notes of rich vanilla crème brûlée dusted with cinnamon, chocolate-covered toffee, crushed almonds, and poached pears. The finish is nutty and warm with a pop of multigrain cereal.

Availability

The Four Grain Double Oak Bourbon will be available online on Thursday, Feb. 5 and at Buzzard's Roost Distillery on Louisville's Whiskey Row on Saturday, Feb. 7. Allocated bottles will hit store shelves later in the month with distribution across the country. The suggested retail price is $79.99.
