Good Robot Brewing ranks among Canada’s Top Growing Companies

Good Robot’s beverage manufacturing business helps Canadian farmers and entrepreneurs bring products to market

HALIFAX, NS, September 25, 2026: Good Robot Brewing Company has ranked No. 107 overall and No. 9 in Manufacturing on The Globe and Mail’s 2026 Report on Business magazine ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies, with revenue growth of 262% from 2022 to 2025.

The primary engine of that growth is The Beverage Factory by Good Robot in Elmsdale, Nova Scotia, which helps other brands develop, produce and package their drinks. Its work spans beer, ready-to-drink cocktails, probiotic sodas, sparkling water, juice and non-alcoholic beverages, giving Canadian entrepreneurs a domestic option for beverage manufacturing.

For farmers, that support can create revenue from a difficult season. When storms or a poor season leave them with Grade B fruit, The Beverage Factory helps turn it into juice they can sell regionally.

“Many of our clients are farmers,” says Joshua Counsil, Co-Founder and Director of Marketing and Communications at Good Robot Brewing. “One farmer was selling their apples to New England at a loss. With The Beverage Factory, they can turn those apples into Canadian-made juice and trial a new revenue stream.”

For emerging beverage brands, The Beverage Factory provides a Canadian production partner to help bring their ideas to market and support expansion across the country and internationally. One Alberta energy drink startup described the impact in a message to the team: “You made my dreams come true.”

“Our team has helped Canadian beverage companies get their products into Costco and reach international markets,” says Counsil. “That gives more people the chance to discover Canadian brands.”

The Beverage Factory produces approximately 120 products for nearly 40 companies. By helping Canadian brands produce and grow at home, its work supports a wider choice of Canadian-made drinks for consumers and retailers.

“Our focus during these years has been rooted in supporting a beverage industry and region experiencing increasingly challenging economic pressures,” says Angus Campbell, Co-Founder and CEO of Good Robot Brewing. “We believe this recognition is evidence of steps toward countering those pressures through collaboration – all thanks to our incredible team, entrepreneurs we work with, and suppliers who support us.”

Founded by three friends who left engineering careers to open a brewery, Good Robot also operates three award-winning tourism-hospitality venues in Nova Scotia. Its packaged beer has become one of the fastest-growing brands in its category at the NSLC and the No. 1 Nova Scotia draft in New Brunswick, led by Diablo, its Mexican-style lager with lime and jalapeño.

Canada’s Top Growing Companies ranks Canadian companies by three-year revenue growth. Launched in 2019, the editorial ranking celebrates the achievements of innovative businesses across the country. Companies voluntarily complete an in-depth application process and meet targeted revenue requirements to qualify.

“The Globe and Mail congratulates the winners of Canada's Top Growing Companies 2026 on this exceptional achievement,” says Andrew Saunders, president and CEO of The Globe and Mail. “Each of these organizations has shown an extraordinary ability to adapt, innovate and grow amid ongoing change. Their achievements reflect the ingenuity and determination of Canadian entrepreneurs and business leaders who are helping shape the future of our economy.”
