Fuel Meals Launches Specialized GLP-1 Meal Plans Built Around Protein-First Nutrition and Appetite Changes

Report

Two new programs address the distinct nutritional needs of people taking GLP-1 medications and those transitioning off them, with carefully structured protein, fat and carbohydrate targets

PENNS GROVE, N.J. – November 3, 2026 – Fuel Meals, a protein-forward performance nutrition system, today announced two new meal plans for people on GLP-1 medications and those moving off them: GLP-1 Support and GLP-1 Off-Ramp. Each offers structured, macro-accurate meals built around high protein, so every bite counts when appetite and nutritional needs are changing.

With an estimated 32 million U.S. adults having used a GLP-1, these medications are reshaping how Americans approach food and weight management. Reduced appetite can make it harder to get enough protein and keep a consistent eating routine. Fuel Meals built its new programs to meet that need with chef-curated meals and transparent nutritional information.

Two plans for two phases:

  • GLP-1 Support Plan: For people actively taking GLP-1 medications. 20 meals across two tiers, each with at least 40 grams of protein. Core Support meals range from 310 to 480 calories, and Expanded Support meals go up to 520 calories. Portions are sized to align with reduced appetite without sacrificing satisfaction.

  • GLP-1 Off-Ramp Plan: For people transitioning off GLP-1 medications, Fuel Meals has 31 meals with 420–630 calories and 40–61 grams of protein each. A graduated calorie structure supports a more deliberate approach as appetite and food intake change, with protein remaining the central focus.

"GLP-1 medications have changed the conversation around weight management, but what people eat throughout that journey matters, too," said Chris Thompson, founder and CEO of Fuel Meals. "We built these plans around a simple principle: when you're eating less, every meal needs to work harder for you. And if you're transitioning off medication, a structured approach to nutrition can help with that next phase. Fuel Meals has always been about making consistency easier, and these plans are an extension of that."

Unlike conventional meal plans that primarily focus on calorie reduction, Fuel Meals’ new programs are built around a protein-first formulation strategy, with every GLP-1 Support meal delivering at least 40 grams of protein, with fat capped at 24 grams per meal, accounting for the fact that GLP-1 medications can slow gastric emptying and that higher-fat meals may further contribute to digestive discomfort for some individuals.

Both programs feature recipes curated by Head Chef Paul Winberry Jr., a Michelin-starred chef and Bravo Top Chef Masters winner, who believes performance-focused nutrition should still taste like real food.

This launch follows on the heels of Fuel Meals' September 2026 announcement that the company has grown 550 percent over the last 24 months and has surpassed 10 million meals sold.
