DelaWeAre Returns This Fall: 2026 Is the Year of the Lager

Report

Delaware: DelaWeAre, a statewide collaboration celebrating Delaware’s craft brewing industry, is back this Fall – and 2026 is the Year of the Lager! Breweries across the Small Wonder will put their own spin on the classic style, with collaborative beers hitting cans and taps statewide during the first week of November.

Lager is a broad category, and that’s part of the fun. Expect a range of styles, ABVs, IBUs, and even SRMs, showcasing the creativity and craftsmanship of Delaware’s brewing community. One thing’s for sure: lagers are always in style.

“We’ve given IPAs and stouts their time to shine in previous years, and now we’re turning the spotlight on lagers,” says Jon Schorah, President of the Delaware Brewers Guild and Head Brewer at Dewey Beer Company. “The beauty of this collaboration is seeing breweries across Delaware take the same broad concept and make it their own. There’s always something new to create and discover, and this year should be no exception.”

And if the brewers bring the creativity, Delaware beer lovers get to reap the rewards. Starting the first week of November, look for DelaWeAre lagers in cans and on draft at participating breweries up and down the state. This year’s lineup includes Apothecary Brewing, Autumn Arch Beer Project, Bellefonte Brewing, Big Oyster Brewery, Crooked Hammock Brewery, Dewey Beer Co., Dogfish Head, JAKL Beer Works, Lewes Brewing Company, and Volunteer Brewing.

Different breweries. Different takes. One Delaware-wide celebration of lager.
